To be eligible for admission, a previous medical or paramedical diploma is required (e.g. physiotherapist, veterinarian.) . The event organizers decide, autonomously, on the admission of every candidate ; their decision is incontestable.

Course structure

 

The full course will run over 3 school years. Each school year is composed of 6 modules of 2 days each :  Wednesday and Thursday.

Lessons are given from 0900 h to about 1800 h.

After the first year the trainee has to pass a theoretical and practical promotion test (to move up to the next year).

In order to gain the certificate of competence, the candidate has to pass a school-leaving examination, to produce a doctoral thesis on a self-selected subject and to defend it.

In the 3 rd year attention will be given to the treatment of dogs and refinement of the osteopathic techniques.

  • Dissection class in collaboration with the Veterinary Department of the U.I.Antwerp

In the first year the extremities and the cranium are studied.

The spinal column and the sacrum are covered in the second year.

The various sporting disciplines and more advanced techniques are also put under the spotlight during that second year.

During the last modules the student will be trained in integrating the theory into the practical application. He will also learn how to treat dogs.
